How to AirPlay a Poker Timer from iPad
AirPlay is useful when the tournament operator needs controls nearby while every table sees a clean, larger clock.

1. Prepare the receiver
Turn on AirPlay in the TV or Apple TV settings. Give the receiver a recognizable room name, especially when the venue has several screens.
2. Connect from iPad
Open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring, and select the intended receiver. Enter the on-screen code if the TV requests one. Keep the iPad on external power during long events.
3. Check the tournament view
Open WTGB, load the saved tournament plan, and confirm that the TV shows current blinds, remaining time, and next blinds. Run a one-minute test before resetting to the real first level.
Troubleshoot common AirPlay problems
If the TV does not appear, confirm that both devices are on the same local network and that guest Wi-Fi does not isolate devices. Restart AirPlay on the receiver before restarting the whole tournament device.
- No receiver listed: check Wi-Fi and receiver AirPlay settings
- Frequent disconnects: reduce network congestion or use HDMI
- Wrong screen selected: rename receivers by room or table area

Common questions
Can AirPlay work on guest Wi-Fi?
Sometimes, but many guest networks isolate devices. A private local network or wired HDMI connection is more predictable.
Will incoming notifications appear on the TV?
They can appear during screen mirroring. Enable an appropriate Focus mode and hide notification previews before the event.
Can I continue controlling the timer from iPad?
Yes. The operator can manage the tournament from the iPad while the shared screen displays the clock.
